page 2 of 4 Date of issue 19 September 2022 ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIAL GOVERNANCE Energy and environmental policy E T A Elektrotechnische Apparate GmbH public document 03 Energy and water consumption greenhouse gases Energy efficiency greenhouse gases Our declared goal is the continuous improvement of energy efficiency reduction of energy consumption and CO2 neutrality We aim to continuously reduce energy consumption by 5 per year in relation to the volume produced up to and including 2022 and continue the ongoing reduction of energy consumption beyond that By expanding renewable energies we want to reduce the sum of gas and heating oil in relation to total heating energy consumption by 80 from 2021 to 2030 At the same time we set ourselves the goal of quadrupling the use of photovoltaics from 2018 to 2030 We assume social responsibility by working towards a CO2 neutral company We are pursuing the goal of implementing a major project towards CO2 neutrality every year until 2030 and achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2040 Water Our goal is to use water resources conscientiously and sparingly This includes both the consumption of water and the purification of wastewater Biodiversity We strive to contribute to the preservation of biological diversity To this end we use the possibilities of contemporary greening of buildings and open spaces on our company premises 04 Local pollution Local pollution By acting prudently and with foresight we do our best to avoid environmentally harmful emissions and accidents that lead to environmental damage or to keep their effects low In addition we keep emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels at a low level through state of the art technology and optimal combustion 05 Materials chemicals and waste Raw materials Materials Chemicals By using materials sparingly we further reduce the consumption of resources with all their effects and thus reduce the unavoidable impact on the environment Our goal is to protect humans animals and the environment from harmful chemicals Accordingly in line with the REACH regulation we avoid substances in our products that exceed the limits listed in the ECHA candidate list We also ensure that our products are CO2
