page 1 of 4 Date of issue 19 September 2022 ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIAL GOVERNANCE Energy and environmental policy E T A Elektrotechnische Apparate GmbH public document 01 Goal of the energy and environmental policy Environmental and climate protection Integral management system E T A is committed to protecting the environment including preventing environmental pollution and thus to preserving an environment worth living in We take climate protection very seriously and make our contribution to it as a company and community Corporate responsibility for the economy ecology and social issues is anchored in our integral management system We are committed to both the continuous improvement of our environmental management system for a better environmental performance and of our energy management system for a better energy related performance With procedural and work instructions as well as processes embedded in continuous improvement cycles we ensure the implementation of our environmental and energy goals 02 General Use of resources Binding commitments ISO 14001 ISO 50001 Environmental protection is the responsibility of us all We are committed to ensuring the availability of information and necessary resources to achieve goals and environmental energy targets We target our financial resources where they are most effective in contributing to climate protection and allocate a six figure special budget each year for this purpose We are committed to fulfilling our binding obligations applicable legal requirements and other requirements related to energy efficiency energy use and energy consumption including all energy and environmentally relevant laws regulations and requirements These are regularly put to the test through our ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications among others We sensitise and motivate our employees to climate protection Both the managers in the company and our employees perceive environmental protection and the improvement of energy efficiency as an important part of their tasks By acting prudently with foresight and responsibly they guarantee that environmental protection and resource saving energy use are practised and promoted at all levels at E T A
