Visitors of the Aluvision stand found an other novelty literally at their feet They were standing on the prototype of the Belgians new modular trade show floor system It consists of aluminium frames and is expect ed to be available for delivery in a few months time In addition the company in troduced Basic Glass a new profile system with a width of 55 millimetres that is espe cially suitable for glass panels Thanks to its flat profile with a depth of only two centime tres you can use it to build glass walls with an almost invisible profile edge e g for showrooms or meeting rooms at exhibition booths And there was some more good news For its Omni 55 system Aluvision won the German Design Award 2016 It was not only the look of the system that con vinced the jury Thanks to its Quickfix con cept it enables you to build wall frames with out any tools simply by plugging them to gether www aluvision com Wood has long been experiencing a re vival in stand construction Gilnhammer from Maitenbeth near Munich consistently favours wood construction materials The wood it uses is entirely from sources that are certified for sustainable forest management Apart from its custom made booth construc tions and furniture Gilnhammer is best known for its two lightweight wall systems G19 and G40 They consist almost entirely out of the renewable construction material wood Only the connectors for joining the in dividual wall units are made of aluminium The skin is made of sturdy fibreboard with a fibreboard laminate shell A sandwich con struction with an eco friendly paper honey comb core explains the low weight and sta bility of the wall units Like many aluminium systems they can be used to build entire walls by just plugging them together with the connectors as the on ly metal element But Gilnhammer not only offers these systems off the shelf in its car pentry workshop the company can also mod ify the individual units according to stand builders and designers wishes For the booth of a sanitation equipment manufactur er the stand builders ordered wall units with cut outs for exhibit windows and shelves Layers of different coating materials added variety to the different stand areas Gilnham mer specially built flush and stackable door leaves adding digital combination locks Ceil ing boxes were mounted to the walls for stand lighting This project shows how our systems can be customised to meet individ ual requirements says managing director Thomas Gilnhammer and adds We even built the furniture www gilnhammer de If walls could talk so the proverb goes But now Modul International has made it a reality Last year the stand system manu facturer from Neuss developed the Au dioPanel which is more than just a dividing unit or visual advertising medium This wall speaks to the viewer It reproduces words and sounds without any visible audio source On the face of it it is a traditional system wall made out of aluminium frames fitted with foam panels or printed fabrics as wall elements The secret lies under the smooth surface and consists of built in sound mod ules Invisible to the viewer they transform the entire wall unit into a loudspeaker The system can be connected to smartphones tablet computers or SD cards Since the beginning of this year the Au dioPanel also comes equipped with motion detectors The wall can therefore register any approaching visitor Once the visitor stands in front of the wall it will play the programmed sounds or information The AudioPanel can be used for booth construction and confer ence facilities as well as for shops and muse ums Walls can be set up and dismantled swiftly and conveniently In addition this is 76 TradeFairs Internation al 2 2016 Als Hersteller von Messebausystemen hat sich Modul International schon lange einen Ruf für Ideenreichtum erworben Modul International has long made a name for itself as an inventive manufacturer of booth construction systems Ph ot o M od ul
