M anaging Director Arnd Hinrich Kappe takes stock We are very happy with the year 2015 He sin gles out the most important event in Offenbach the International Leather Goods Fair ILM We have made the show much more international Participations in fairs abroad are to attract even more visitors from outside Germany On the exhibitor side the last edition of twice yearly ILM boasted sup pliers from 45 countries And Director Kappe sees even more potential Suddenly coun tries are appearing on the fashion map that nobody would ever have expected to see there he observes Korea is very hot now But the number of exhibitors from South America is also growing We want to step up our efforts in this market in future To meet the expectations of international exhibitors and visitors the fair has invested in very strong wi fi This also benefits the guest events for which Messe Offenbach expects further growth with its Convention Center Rhein Main brand It is now reaping the rewards of intensive efforts made in this segment some time ago Our halls exude a bit of the inspir ing charm of industrial heritage says Arnd Hinrich Kappe This makes them a stimulat ing venue for interesting types of events The exhibition centre attracts architecture and design events for example And an event with a special USP will take place again in 2016 Fahrradkultur Bicycle Culture The exhibition ties in with the established bicycle bazaar of Lions Club Offenbach High end products like transport bikes will also be on display says Arnd Hinrich Kappe This mix makes it a wonderful market A lot of work has also gone and is still going into the websites of Messe Offenbach and ILM Social networks are becoming ever more important and are being used increas ingly by trade fair visitors for making ap pointments The fashion scene absolutely loves Facebook and Instagram says Arnd Hinrich Kappe At our leather goods shows these platforms are really used intensively www messe offenbach de PB 28 FOCUS TradeFairs Internation al 6 2015 GERMANY 2016 Venue for inspiring events Messe Offenbach wants to see this year s positive develop ments continue in 2016 In addition to leather goods shows its guest events are growing New active art fair at Messe Dresden Messe Dresden has been actively in volved in the art scene of the Sax ony federal state capital for years It cooperates with the Künstlerbund Associ ation of German Artists and Ostrale the Centre for Contemporary Art among oth ers Both institutions have used the facili ties of Messe Dresden for several exhibi tions And now Messe Dresden is taking things a step further the active art fair Neue Art will make its debut on 4 and 5 June 2016 All artists art professionals and creative amateurs are invited They can present themselves and their works be ac tive at the fair and show the diversity of the art scene in and around Dresden The fair organisers want to run the entire gamut from painting graphic design through per forming arts to dance and mime There are no limits to the offerings Be it at the exhi bition booth or on one of the numerous stages the fair wants to be a platform for making contacts Hence the organisers are hoping for many interested visitors to come and talk to the artists and buy their works of art In addition this will be an op portunity for them to get inspired and get involved in art themselves Artists be they professionals graduates students self taught or amateurs can benefit from a bargain offer They can rent a space of ten square metres for 100 euros net all inclu sive and design their presence according to their own ideas The condition is that they must submit a brief description of what they will be presenting at Messe Dresden The artists must also be present and actively engage in their art during the entire fair Commercial providers such as galleries have to pay a higher fee of 1 000 euros for a space of 25 square metres www messe dresden de Modenschau in der Messe Offenbach Fashion show at Messe Offenbach Ph ot o M es se O ffe nb ac h
