O ver sticks and stones visitors were able to follow Oberaigner to the end of the world in the heart of the ex hibition hall This was the motto of the automotive specialist s presence at IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014 in Hannover And it was proudly displayed on textile cubes over the stand Austrian car dealer Oberaign er also develops produces and installs all wheel drive systems for vans and small com mercial vehicles of the Mercedes Opel Re nault and Nissan brands Thanks to this technology the vehicles can safely navigate even the most difficult terrain so Oberaign er claims Two vehicles were displayed on ramps and two on platforms against a light grey velour carpet These so called theme worlds depicted four extremes mountainous terrain snow covered roads desert sand and cobblestones For this presentation we need ed two tonnes of sand and grit artificial snow and real moss and grass And we had to water the latter daily recalls project man ager Thomas Tröster of Fairnet The Leipzig based exhibition profession als had developed and delivered Oberaigner s stand Initially we wanted there to be no boundaries between the theme worlds explains Thomas Tröster But by keeping them apart on an otherwise neutral terrain each individual area had much more impact To reinforce this effect and put the terrain scenes into the spot light the rear walls were in a bright white Structurally the stand also had to mirror the quality and claim of the brand Fairnet therefore fo cused on clean colours and lines as well as perfect craftsmanship Our aim was to make it stand out from the competition without the design taking centre stage says Fairnet ex ecutive Dirk Deumeland Instead of visiting an exhibition space we wanted visitors to feel they were entering Oberaigner s world www fairnet de Deep Purple rocked Essen s Grugahalle But it wasn t the rock legend that was calling the tune Evonik Industries held its first ever AGM there in May 2014 And Deep Purple is the group s CD colour which also dominated the hall The entrance alone was realised as a tent with a height of nine metres and length of ninety metres Its outer skin con sisted of gauzes printed with Evonik sym bols The interior partition walls illuminated counters and coat racks in the corporate de sign also gave guests a visual entrance to the world of Evonik After that an inviting foyer took them into the catering area before they finally set foot in the Butterfly Hall In what is normally the domain of rock stars the shareholders were welcomed by an elaborate stage for executive and supervisory board members as well as white chairs with cush ions in deep purple The imposing on stage construction also shone in this colour Nine metres high it spanned an arc of 36 metres behind the stage in a near crescent shape representing an embrace Opaque textiles covered the stage 66 TradeFairs Internation al 1 2015 STAND CONSTRUCTION DESIGN Constant reinvention Trade fairs and events are often staged as entire theme worlds with exhibition spaces transformed into landscapes and halls into corporate design areas NürnbergConvention Wörnlein setzte Produkte aus der Stadt und Region auf der IMEX in Szene NürnbergConvention Wörnlein put regional products into the spotlight at IMEX Ph ot o W ör nl ei n
