Mr Bruzzone what has been happening in Bologna in the last twelve months The autumn of 2021 and the first half of 2022 saw the resumption of trade fair and con gress activities Albeit with some limitations on global travel all the exhibitions achieved excellent results The major international trade events Cersaie Eima International Au topromotec Zoomark International and Cos moprof Worldwide Bologna deserve a special mention The results were in line with and in some cases even better than pre pan demic levels This reaffirms the importance of trade fairs for companies and the business community Speaking of travel Has the introduction of the Super Green Pass for non EU business people been a success Undoubtedly the pass has made it possible to reactivate visitor flows from non EU mar kets that are particularly important for busi ness Of course there was an inevitable drop in the number of foreign visitors but this has been offset by the strong specialisation of trade visitors with a positive influence on negotiations and new business contacts that exhibiting companies made at the fair events What are your expectations for 2023 in Bologna We hope that the normalisation of activities and the consolidation of the post pandemic economic recovery will continue Unfortu nately new fronts of concern have opened up in recent months and these have an im pact at macroeconomic level But returning to our expectations Our shareholders will benefit from a major increase in the compa ny s capital This capital reinforcement will help accelerate the implementation of the 2022 2026 Development Plan and the com pletion of many projects What new projects and services are you introducing We have several new very interesting proj ects targeting both the national and interna tional markets The new trade fair initiatives are also accompanied by an important trend of diversification of our core business This involves the entire chain of services support ing trade fairs from set up through digital and communications to logistics The pan demic provided a strong stimulus for the de velopment of new especially digital busi ness tools that have become part of our day to day reality Plus In 2023 the Auto e Mo to d epoca event relocating from Padua for vintage cars and motorcycles will pay hom age to the Emilia Romagna some of the most prestigious international brands such as Ferrari Maserati Lamborghini Dallara or Ducati come from the region BolognaFiere has signed an agreement with Informa that will lead to an investment of 25 million euros via a convertible bond How will the money be invested This well established partnership between BolognaFiere and Informa is now even more active With this new agreement we will further strengthen Cosmoprof branded events in mainland China and the Middle East Simultaneously we will become even more dynamic in the US market This is due to a new joint venture between Bolog naFiere Informa and the PBA association this will offer a US network of events for the beauty industry Alongside the Cosmoprof events the joint venture will be active in the hair beauty and nail sectors The agreement with Informa a world leader in the organi sation of B2B events underlines Bolog naFiere s important role among internation al players and its growth potential www bolognafiere it PB 26 TradeFairs Internation al 3 2022 INTERNATIONAL ITALY Core business is diversifying Antonio Bruzzone general director BolognaFiere talks to TFI about the current situation future expectations new projects and a collaboration with Informa Die weltweit führende Beautymesse Cosmoprof fand im Frühjahr wieder als Präsenzveranstaltung in Bologna statt The world s leading beauty trade fair Cosmoprof was held as an in person event again in Bologna this spring Ph ot o B ol og na Fi er e
