M ilan EMO Fair at the booth of the exhibitor Haimer The stand design created a cosy ambience Elegant lounge furniture with floral arrangements invited visitors to stop and linger The atmosphere was perfect for re laxed but intensive talks Furniture and stand construction were a perfect match As if con structed and furnished to fit the corporate identity and created by a single designer It is often the case that the client first cre ates the design and then sends us an in quiry explains Michael Kiefer But we were involved in this project right from the start continues the managing director of Kiefer Mietmöbel from Langenlonsheim The booth was planned and designed by mac the exhibition experts also based in Langenlons heim Many customers want some very spe cific pieces of furniture and place their orders early on explains Kiefer s managing direc tor The firm also offers suggestions and guidance on all the possibilities of their rental furniture But many clients are also in spired by what they see in furniture shops or restaurants A broad and ever up to date stylish range is indispensable as is a website that invites you to browse says the expert We also provide advice on all the possibili ties the rental furniture market has to offer An anniversary event for a personnel service provider at Berlin Fair was another example of when furniture takes centre stage Kiefer had been commissioned to provide furniture by the fair management exhibition agency We furnished two halls for around 3 000 guests In the conference area we had theatre style seating The other hall was fur nished for the gala evening It was to offer space for every guest and it all had to mesh together well says Michael Kiefer Again one could say that the furniture provided the creative edge It is the first thing you see Due to its product range and the large scale of the assignment the Kiefer team were in volved in the planning process from the start The theory that furniture is always ordered last does not hold true in this case says the managing director However in general large scale events and trade fair booths are quite different things in the rental firm s view At large events furniture and inventory often take centre stage In stand construction they are always subject to the design of the creatives and the exhibitor Plus Inquiries and orders shortly before the start of a fair are part of day to day business Michael Kiefer believes this has to do with ever shorter planning and construction phases at trade fairs Especially major trade fairs only provide two to three days for set up in overcrowded halls The furniture suppliers mostly come last And they often have to work under great pressure and make up for lost time when other servic es are no longer on schedule For dismantling it is the other way round Furniture always has to be removed first and as fast as possi ble as the other service providers cannot do their work otherwise Our motto is Keep talking to the customer and get as much in formation as possible out of him And prefer ably coordinate the communication between the different service providers www kiefer mietmoebel de JK 82 TradeFairs Internation al 3 2018 PRACTICE RENTAL EXHIBITION FURNITURE Creative edge For many booth planners furniture is not a priority and is ordered last Unlike at special events and in some exhibition stands where furniture can be a scene stealer Möbel im Mittel punkt Die Jubi läumsveranstaltung eines Personal dienstleisters auf dem Berliner Messe gelände Focus on furniture the anniversary event of a personnel service provider at Messe Berlin Ph ot o K ie fe r M ic k N ite
