H A LL 6 www messe essen deC O M I N G S O O N T H E N E W M E S S E E S S E N Y O U R I D E A S W I L L B E C O M E B O U N D L E S S H E R E T argi Kielce was founded as a joint en deavour between the city of Kielce and Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship in 1992 The International Defence Industry Ex hibition MSPO made its debut there in 1993 and is still one of the event highlights of the city in South East Poland today Andrzej Mochon Vice President and later President of Swietokrzyskie s Regional Development Agency was one of the founders of MSPO Since 2006 he has been President of the Exec utive Board of Targi Kielce For a few years from 2000 to 2006 Poznan International Fair had a dominant position among Kielce s shareholders This cooperation ended as a re sult of a conflict over the allocation of profits for the expansion of the centre s infrastruc ture Kielce repurchased the shares Four years ago in 2013 Targi Kielce com pleted the greatest facility modernisation and expansion programme in its history With an investment of 190 million złoty or 45 mil lion euros it added the entry terminals the E Expo Hall Congress Centre and the multi level car park with parking spaces for 480 ve hicles Due to this modernisation Kielce now boasts 36 000 square metres of indoor exhibi tion space in seven halls A further 54 000 square metres are available in the outdoor area for exhibition and demonstration pur poses 5 300 square metres of hall space can be used for conventions and events with up to 4 500 people The congress and banquet hall for 850 people 19 modern conference rooms and a 57 metre lookout tower also with meeting facilities are all part of the ex hibition centre Targi Kielce s agenda now comprises 70 trade fairs and 700 conferences This includes events such as Plastpol Autostrada Polska and the International Exhibition of Church Construction Church Fittings and Furnish ings and Religious Art Sacroexpo The farm ing technology show Agrotech is the event with the largest number of visitors attracting around 65 000 people every year In 2016 a total of 249 000 people from 60 countries at tended events in Kielce Just under 7 600 ex hibitors rented almost 255 000 square metres of exhibition space Thanks to these exhibitor figures and sold net space Targi Kielce is the number two exhibition centre in Central East ern Europe Hence the Polish trade fair com pany has outpaced its well known and time honoured rivals from neighbouring countries www targikielce pl PB FOCUS INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRES 25 years of Polish trade shows Founded just a quarter of a century ago Kielce has now blossomed into the second most important trade fair hub in Central Eastern Europe
