Flatrack zwölf 40 Container und zwei 20 Container am ADNEC angeliefert Aufgrund der Abmessungen insbesondere der Höhe und dem Gewicht der CNC Fräsmaschinen waren Positionierungsarbeiten mit einem Ga belstapler nicht möglich Agility Fairs Events Middle East wurde als erstem Logis tikdienstleister überhaupt eine Operation mit einem 45 Tonnen Autokran im ADNEC ge nehmigt Ganze 24 Stunden standen zum Entladen Entpacken Einbringen in die Mes sehalle und für die punktgenaue Platzierung der Maschinen zur Verfügung Auch wäh rend der weiteren Aufbauphase und der Laufzeit der Wettbewerbe war ein Agility Mitarbeiter vor Ort um schnell und flexibel auf Eventualitäten reagieren zu können Der Abbau geriet dann nochmal zur Her ausforderung da es einen Abbautag weniger gab Der insgesamt sehr eng getaktete Ab laufplan geriet zusätzlich unter Druck Zum Abbau mussten sämtliche Maschinen wieder in Holzkisten verpackt und vakuumiert wer den Das luftdichte Verpacken schützt auf hoher See vor Korrosion Im Grunde ist das ein normaler Vorgang der aber in Anbetracht der Größe der Maschinen und in der Kürze des Abbaus einen Zeitfresser darstellt Ent sprechend wurde der Ablaufplan an die Ge gebenheiten angepasst die Teams sind für die einzelnen Arbeitsschritte aufgestockt worden So konnten sie an mehreren Stellen gleichzeitig arbeiten Schon zwei Stunden vor Zapfenstreich verließ die letzte Maschine komplett verpackt die Halle 11 des ADNEC und wurde in den dafür vorgesehenen Con tainer gestaut www agility com PB A pprentices and young skilled workers from all over the world have been meeting up at WorldSkills the world s greatest skills competition for around 65 years now They come to put their skills to the test in a wide variety of different occu pations In 2017 the event took place at the state of the art Abu Dhabi National Exhibi tion Centre ADNEC Not only was Agility Fairs Events Middle East responsible for handling everything locally the logistics company was also in charge of planning and organising international shipping 59 coun tries took part in the 51 different skill compe titions The challenge for Agility was to build 51 different competition stands within a short space of time These stands were equipped with all the required machinery tools mate rials and workplaces Representatives of German and Austrian industry acted as patrons of various skill competitions at WorldSkills Agility Fairs Events Deutschland began arranging the ini tial scheduling of the different projects with the participating companies in the spring of 2017 Individual shipping and work sched ules were drawn up A total of over 100 ma chines belonging to well known companies in Germany and Austria were shipped over in sea containers and on flat racks The DMG Mori Academy one of the event s main spon sors accounted for the largest share of the machines with 29 new CNC lathes and milling machines as well as the most sensi tive goods These goods had to be shipped to Abu Dhabi on a fixed schedule and posi tioned in four competition areas The night before the first day of con struction a total of eight 40 foot flat racks a 20 foot flat rack 12 40 foot containers and two 20 foot were delivered to ADNEC Due to the dimensions of the CNC milling ma chines in particular their height and weight positioning work with a forklift truck was not possible Agility Fairs Events Middle East became the first logistics company to 102 TradeFairs Internation al 2 2018 PRAXIS TRADE FAIR LOGISTICS Good planning rapid responses Agility Fairs Events as the only official exhibition freight forwarding company for WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 was entrusted with handling all the logistics and customs clearance ADNEC Eingang Khaleej Al Arabi Street ADNEC entrance Khaleej Al Arabi Street Ph ot o T FI
