T he Macao SAR government in compli ance with its policy objectives will continue to support the development of the convention and exhibition in dustry MICE industry which has seen rap id growth and will use innovating methods to cultivate this industry Guided by the poli cy of priority to conventions the govern ment will strive to encourage more profes sional and international conventions and ex hibitions to be held in Macao to accelerate the growth of the MICE industry Since the beginning of 2017 there have been a number of overseas international conventions held in the city This is attributed to not only the strengths of Macao s complete set of software and hardware that support conventions and exhibitions but also Macao s unique attrac tions As ICM AG Electronics Cars Recy cling WRF 2017 and CASBAA Convention 2017 concluded in Macao in November the people in charge of both of these conven tions were completely satisfied with facilities that support conventions in Macao They be lieve that Macao a city full of vitality is a perfect place to hold conventions There is a high chance that the organisers will come back again in the future to host larger events The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute IPIM as the lead government agency responsible for promoting Macao as the MICE destination and leveraging oppor tunities to diversify the economy In Novem ber IPIM provided support to the successful completion of CASBAA Convention 2017 and ICM AG Electronics Cars Recycling WRF 2017 in Macao through the Interna tional Meeting and Trade Fair Support Pro gramme and Convention and Exhibition Stimulation Programme respectively Christopher Slaughter person in charge 6 TradeFairs Internation al 1 2018 Macao wins praise of organisers Macao s software and hardware for conventions is extolled by international conventions organisers Such factors could motivate them to hold conventions here again ANZEIGEFOCUS
